It is with sorrow that we announce the death of Paula Chandler, the St Philip’s School Secretary. She died on the morning of Monday 26th June, surrounded by her family at Trinity Hospice.
Mrs Chandler had been ill with cancer for two years, and she confronted her illness with the combination of determination, frankness and humour that was her hallmark. Mrs Chandler, her partner Michael, her mother Gene Matkin, her son James and her extended family are at the centre of our prayers at St Philip’s.
Father Rupert will offer a Mass as a private intention in the Oratory Church this Sunday. Please direct any letters or cards of condolence to the School Office, from where they will be sent onto the family.
Mrs Chandler was a former parent at St Philip’s and had been employed by the School since 1982, as well as the London Oratory School from 2001 to 2015. Please remember the staff of both schools in your prayers.
requiescat in pace.
